Navigating by touch
The Navigation release makes the display fully interactive on Desk and Air. Instead of waiting for the rotation to come back round, you can step through your glances, open the control menu and put the clock to sleep - all on the glass.
Touch works on Desk, and on Air wherever the device it runs on has a touchscreen - a phone or tablet, but not a Fire TV or other TV stick. Zero has no touchscreen at all. On any clock without touch, see steering from your phone at the bottom of this page.
The two edges
Everything starts at the edges of the screen. There are two invisible strips running down the left and right sides of the display - you won't see them, but they're always there.

The right strip is a little wider than the left, because cycling glances is the thing you'll do most. On Desk it's wider again: the display is round and the curved bezel eats into the corners, so the right edge is given more room to catch your thumb.
Cycling through your glances
A tap on the right-hand strip moves the display on to your next glance - the aircraft map, the weather map, or whichever you've set up in the app.
Each tap steps one further along. After the last glance, the next tap brings you back to the clock face, so you can always get home by tapping your way round.
If you have auto-rotation switched on, tapping resets its countdown. The clock stays on what you chose for a full interval before it starts moving on by itself again.
No glances configured yet? The right edge won't do anything until you've added at least one in the JetClock app. Open your clock's settings and pick the glances you want.
The control menu
A tap on the left-hand strip brings up the control menu over whatever is currently on screen.
The menu holds the controls you'd otherwise reach for your phone to change:

Brightness is a Desk control: on Air the screen belongs to the device the clock runs on, so brightness stays with that device's own settings.
Leave the menu and the display returns to whatever it was showing before.
Sleep takes the display all the way down to off. It doesn't shut the clock down, and a tap brings it straight back.
Steering from your phone
Not every clock has a touchscreen, and sometimes yours is on the other side of the room. Every clock can be driven from the JetClock dashboard on your phone - Desk, Zero and Air alike. It's the way to change what a Zero or a TV-connected Air is showing, and it's handy for a Desk that's across the room.
Sign in at app.jetclock.io and select the clock you want to steer.
Choose a glance - or the clock face - and the clock turns to it. Afterwards it carries on with its normal rotation.
