What is JetClock X?
JetClock X is the experimental wing of JetClock - early access to new features before they reach everyone else, released as themed "issues" you can shape with your feedback.
You don't need JetClock X to use your clock. Your core JetClock features are always free - X simply adds experimental features on top.
How the programme works
JetClock X is a subscription that:
- Gives you early access to experimental features
- Releases new capabilities as themed issues
- Lets you shape development with your feedback
- Helps fund the infrastructure behind new features
Some experiments will graduate to every JetClock. Some never will - and that's the point.
Current release
Navigation - Release Nº 01
Maps, aircraft and weather, charted on your clock. The Navigation release includes:
- Auto-rotating glances
- Aircraft and weather maps
- A vessels map, plotting nearby shipping from live AIS
- Animated wind and field overlays
- New ways to navigate - touch on Desk, and the Remote on every clock
- A redesigned settings interface
The vessels map is an experiment and its data is not guaranteed. AIS positions come from public receivers, so coverage is uneven - good around busy coasts and ports, thin or empty inland - and vessels can appear late or not at all. It is not a navigational aid, and like any experiment it may change or be withdrawn. See Vessels Map for the detail.
