Assembly instructions

Assemble the clock in 5 easy steps

1
Insert the micro SD card and USB cable into the Pi Zero

The SD card is the brains of your clock. Remove the micro SD card from its protective case and insert it into the side of the Pi Zero. Take the USB cable and insert it into the left hand USB slot.

Insert the micro SD card into the Pi Zero

Slot the micro SD card and USB cable in

💡

Make sure the SD card is the right way round when you insert it. Don't force it in!

2
Position the base and screen

Place the base of the JetClock case on to the back of the Hyperpixel screen.

Position the base and screen

Align the base and screen

⚠️

Keep the Hyperpixel screen flat on the table throughout assembly, the screen is delicate and it's easy to twist (and break it) accidentally.

3
Insert the Pi into the Hyperpixel

Gently line the Pi's pins up with the Hyperpixel and then push the pins in. Use two fingers to apply a small amount of pressure to make sure that the Pi is securely resting on the black cylinders.

Screw in the Pi

Push the Pi pins into the Hyperpixel

⚠️

Try to be as gentle as you can inserting the Pi's pins into the Hyperpixel. If you ever need to detach the two, gently pry them apart ensuring the Hyperpixel is face down at all times.

4
Clip the cable into the case and put the case cover on

Clip the cable into the gap in the case, and then put the case cover on.

5
Plug in and register your clock!

Your JetClock is now ready! Plug it into a USB power socket. You'll now need to connect your clock to WiFi and register your clock. More information about this process is available here.

💡

After powering on, you should see a green light flash on the back of the Pi. After a minute or two, the JetClock hotspot should appear as a WiFi network you can connect to from your phone or laptop.
