Thank you for purchasing JetClock Air! This guide covers installation on Android tablets.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following ready:

Your license key should arrive in your inbox within a few minutes of purchase. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Installation instructions

Get JetClock Air running in 4 easy steps

Enable installation from unknown sources

JetClock Air is completely safe and legitimate, but since it's not on Google Play Store, your Android device needs permission to install it. This is a normal security feature.

Easiest Method (Works on All Devices):

  1. Open Settings on your Android device
  2. Tap the search icon (🔍) at the top
  3. Type "unknown apps"
  4. Tap the result about installing unknown apps
  5. Find your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and enable it

Alternative Paths:

For Most Android Tablets:

  • Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → [Your Browser] → Allow

For Samsung Tablets:

  • Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps → [Your Browser] → Allow

For Amazon Fire Tablets:

  • Settings → Security & Privacy → Apps from Unknown Sources → On
  • (Or search "unknown" in Fire tablet settings)
💡

You only enable this for your web browser (like Chrome), not globally. This is Android's built-in security feature - completely normal and safe. You can disable this permission after installing JetClock Air. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

Download the JetClock Air APK
  1. Open your web browser on your Android device
  2. Navigate to jetclock.io/apk
  3. Tap Download to save the APK file
  4. Once downloaded, tap the notification or find the file in your Downloads folder
  5. Tap the APK file to begin installation
  6. Confirm the installation when prompted

Only download JetClock Air from jetclock.io/apk to ensure you get the official, secure version of the app.

Launch JetClock Air and get your registration QR
  1. Open the JetClock Air app from your home screen or app drawer
  2. The app will display a registration QR code on screen
  3. Leave this QR code displayed - you'll need it for the next step

The registration QR code is unique to your device and links it to your license. Keep this screen open while you complete the registration process.

Register your device using your phone
  1. On your phone or computer, open your email and find your JetClock Air license key
    • You may need to click "Access Purchase" in the email to view your key
    • The key looks like this format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (example: 578D-6932-91D1-46BB-AD54)
  2. Copy this key to your clipboard
  3. Scan the QR code displayed on your Android device using your phone or computer's camera
  4. Paste your license key when prompted
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration

Once registered, your JetClock Air will automatically connect and start displaying aircraft overhead. The setup is complete!

Manual Registration (Alternative Method)

We don't recommend it, but if you need to manually register your clock because you can't scan the QR code or don't have another device available, you can use manual registration:

  1. Look at the screen displaying the QR code - you'll see a Clock ID displayed below the QR code
  2. On any device with internet access, go to app.jetclock.io/register
  3. Type in the Clock ID exactly as shown on your JetClock Air screen
  4. Complete the registration process with your license key
  5. Your JetClock Air will automatically configure once registration is complete
⚠️

Manual registration is more prone to typing errors. Double-check that you've entered the Clock ID correctly. We recommend using QR code scanning when possible for a smoother setup experience.
